Bustraan/Carpenter Prayer and Care Group

The Carpenter/Bustraan Prayer and Care group welcomes all ages; however, our group currently is made up of empty nesters (couples and singles). We meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights at Jim and Mary Bustraan’s home, 7800 92nd Street, Caledonia. We start the evening with a light supper at 5:00 pm. (Note: For the winter months we have moved our meeting time up to 12:15 pm)

The purpose of our Prayer and Care Groups is to assist the body in fulfilling the “one another” requirements of Scripture through encouragement, prayer, and practically applying Biblical principles in “spurring one another on towards love and good deeds” to God and others.  The reason for these groups are based on:

Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

and

Hebrews 10:24&25 – “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.”
