What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be stressful. We hope to provide you with an overview of what to expect so your first visit with us will be as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to meeting you!

What time does the service start? How long is it?

Sunday School classes start at 9:30 am and finish at 10:15 am. There are several options for adults and age-appropriate classes for children and students.

The worship service starts at 10:30 am and lasts approximately one hour and 30 minutes.

What is the worship service like?

Our worship service is led in worship by our praise team. Songs are a mix of favorite hymns and contemporary music. Each week Pastor Jonathan prepares a sermon based on principles from the Bible.

What about my kids? Is there a safe and fun place for them?

Whitneyville Bible is committed to providing a safe, clean and caring environment for your child. All Volunteers are background checked and approved by the Elders. The nursery and all kids rooms are cleaned and sanitized after each use.

We have wonderful ministries for preschoolers, children, and teens where they will study Biblical truths while interacting with others their age. Each class is led by adults who teach with all the care and concern your child needs.

We want families to be able to worship together on Sunday mornings and children are welcome in the service. During the sermon message, elementary age children are dismissed to Bible Blast while older kids stay in the service.

Child care is provided for the Worship service. A nursing room is also available for nursing moms.

What kind of people will be there?

We are a pretty ordinary group of people. We reflect life in Caledonia and the surrounding community. You will see families with children, lots of retirees, young adults, and students. You will meet people who have had a personal relationship with Christ for many years and people who are new to faith.

Where do I go when I get there?

When you enter the main doors at the front of the church, you will be greeted by someone who can help you find a Sunday School class, the Nursery/Pre-school rooms or a seat in the auditorium. Stop in at the Welcome Center just inside the main doors if you would like more specific information.

Feel free to grab a cup of coffee from the kitchen in the multi-purpose room.

What do I wear?

Dress is casual, so please come as you are.

Can I remain anonymous?

Absolutely! We realize many people want to check out our church without calling attention to themselves. However, you may want to fill out a guest contact card, or there are Connection Cards in the backside of the chairs you can fill out and place in the “Connection Card” box near the entrance of the Sanctuary. If you choose, you will receive a follow-up letter or email from a minister or staff member.
