The Awana program seeks to establish kids on a firm Biblical foundation that will guide them in the challenges they face in life. Through team cooperation and individual achievement, Awana promotes the building of self-esteem and good relationships with others. Every clubber is special to God and to us.
Awana meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:15 pm during the months of September through April. All kids age 3 – 6th grade are welcome.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
The name “Awana” comes from 2 Timothy 2:15, Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
Awards – Clubbers have the opportunity to earn various awards for attendance and completing handbooks. Each child works at his/her own pace and is guided by a caring leader.
Uniforms – The uniform is a vital part of Awana. It helps the clubber feel included and is where most awards are displayed. Uniforms may be purchased after finishing the entrance booklet and should be worn for each meeting.
Points – Leaders may reward good behavior or extraordinary achievement by adding extra points to the clubber’s weekly point total. Clubbers can use their points at the Awana Store to choose a special prize.
