The Christian is not immune to suffering in this life. Pain, sickness and death, sadly, are the normal human experience for everyone who lives in this fallen world. In addition to what is common to all, Believers experience suffering because they belong to Jesus Christ and are characterized by doing good. This kind of suffering is that of victory and not defeat, of hope that motivates us to live a life of purity and holiness.
